Welcome to Housabai College of Physiotherapy, Nimshirgaon. I am Dr. V. Balakannan, Principal cum Professor of Physiotherapy, and I am honoured to lead this esteemed institution dedicated to excellence in physiotherapy education, clinical practice, research, and academic development.

With 15+ years of experience spanning teaching, research, orthopaedic rehabilitation, and institutional leadership, I bring a strong academic and clinical perspective to the college. I hold a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Master of Physiotherapy in Orthopaedics (MPT) from Annamalai University and am currently pursuing my PhD in Physiotherapy at Saveetha University.

Throughout my professional journey, I have had the opportunity to work in various reputed institutions and contribute to academic leadership, curriculum development, clinical training, faculty development, research guidance, and quality assurance. My experience includes serving as Professor and in leadership positions involving postgraduate coordination, departmental administration, academic planning, faculty development, and institutional committees.
